Ryder has some serious had some serious attitude on this song. She channels her inner Miranda Lambert with the "and I don't take no shit" line, but also pays due to angry female pop rockers like Alanis Morissette and Avril Lavigne. Despite the pop-country label, this song is much more rock than pop or country. In this song, she's a female Jason Aldean counterpart, with the heavy electric guitar leading the track.
Caleche Ryder has potential. This is definitely not as deep as she could go, based on how many life experiences she has had. But this is Ryder's first single, and it does show off what makes her special as an artist: her voice and her unique perspective on country music.
