Singer/songwriter Stevie Jewel is the definition of badass, and her new single "Bad Habit" only further proves that statement. Premiering exclusively on Queens of Country, you can listen to her new single here before it hits iTunes tomorrow! (Preorder).
"You're a bad, bad habit, and I just gotta have it," Jewel belts in the chorus of this infectious southern rock and country fused track. "'Bad Habit' was a song we wrote in under two hours, as soon as the words "bad habit" were said, we knew that was the idea for the song," Jewel said. "The rest of the song just poured out, and once I played it for Will Edwards, who's worked with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Kanye West, he said "That's a hit!" and from that we started building the song into what it is now."
The song was co-produced by Will Edwards and Jodi Marr (Carole King, MIKA). "Once I heard the finished product I couldn't wait to take it to radio and start sharing it with people!" Jewel said.
Jewel recently released two singles, "Memory Lane" which scored extensive airplay on CBC Radio, and "Off The Market," which was added to over 50 radio stations. She is currently finishing up her final year at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
