UMG recording artist Kelleigh Bannen has recently taken to YouTube to release some new music. Her last original music release was in November 2014 with "Smoke When I Drink." Currently working on her debut album, Bannen has decided to reward her fans who have been supporting her throughout this new music drought by releasing a series of acoustic covers on YouTube with Teddy Christenberry. The covers range from country songs, with her cover of Chris Stapleton's version of "Tennessee Whiskey" and Brothers Osborne's "Stay A Little Longer," to Sam Hunt's urban-country "Ex To See," and to Justin Bieber's hit "Sorry."
"SORRY" — JUSTIN BIEBER
Her most recent cover, Bannen strips down the Bieber hit "Sorry" from the electro-pop hit to a heartbreaking acoustic ballad.
"EX TO SEE" — SAM HUNT
This track comes off of Sam Hunt's Grammy nominated debut record Montevallo, and Bannen keeps it pretty close to the original, experimenting with some borderline rapping, and doing it surprisingly well.
"TENNESSEE WHISKEY" — CHRIS STAPLETON
Chris Stapleton performed this song at the 2015 CMA awards with Justin Timberlake, and it was no doubt the best performance of the night. Bannen shows off her vocal prowess and the soul rooted in her voice in this cover.
"STAY A LITTLE LONGER" — BROTHERS OSBORNE
Currently the No. 1 song in country music by airplay, Bannen kicked off her "Acoustic Covers" series by covering her labelmates's song that is currently killing it on radio.
