Shelby Darrall's debut single, "Swim" was released earlier this month, but she's quickly following it up with an EP full of original material. The EP, titled Don't, drops on iTunes tomorrow, but today, you can stream the title track exclusively on Queens of Country.
The third track on the EP, "Don't" tells the story of getting over someone. It's a song about denial of feelings in order to leave someone who hurt you in the past. She sings in the chorus, "I don't wanna want you / I don't wanna feel you." The pop-country track has a guitar solo in place of a bridge, building up the song before Darrall softly closes it before the last chorus. Like "Swim," this song is characterized by heavy harmonies and more stripped down production, but the inclusion of the guitar solo adds a rockier element to this song.
