How is March already here? The second month of 2017 was a great month of music, with many artists releasing new album/singles, and a good amount of artists redeeming themselves from previous efforts. Here are three albums & three singles, and some great songs by male country singers that you should be listening to now!
GREAT ALBUMS:
Nikita Karmen's self-titled EP
Fun, flirty, and beautifully written, Nikita Karmen's self-titled debut project is a must listen. It's unique and quirky in the best way possible. Key tracks include "First" and "Curfew."
Little Big Town's The Breaker
While not a female act, the usually female-fronted group Little Big Town put out a phenomenal album this month. It's a step up from their recent efforts, and the writers on the record are top-notch. Key tracks include "Happy People," "Better Man" and "Beat Up Bible."
Alison Krauss's Windy City
Alison Krauss is a timeless and always relevant artist, as she proves with her fifth solo studio album. It's been too long since Krauss last released music, and it seems the public agrees, as this album topped the country charts this week. Key tracks include "All Alone Am I," "Gentle On My Mind" and "Windy City."

GREAT SONGS:
"Nervous" by Lena Stone
Lena Stone's debut single is made to be a hit. Down the line, unoffensive, pop-country, this song has universal appeal, along with a killer hook and a catchy chorus. Taylor Swift and Jennifer Nettles fans, this one's for you.
"Till the Goin' Gets Gone" by Lindi Ortega
Lindi Ortega's newest single is a complete departure from her past efforts. Stripped down and quiet, the lyrics are as powerful as ever, but Ortega's vocals are the focus on this song. In previous efforts, her voice tended to get a little hidden in the production, but "Till the Goin' Gets Gone" lets Ortega's raw talent speak for itself.
"24 Hours" by Hadley Kennary
The closing track of Hadley Kennary's 2016 EP is candid, to say the least. The constant first person in this folky country track speaks of love in a real, beautiful way. The EP that this song comes off of, Momentum, is also worth a listen.
