Kelsey Lamb’s song “Little By Little” sounds like the country-pop perfection of a seasoned professional, but it’s actually the first song the singer/songwriter has ever released. She wrote the song with Jesse Labelle and Erik DiNardo. “It actually took us three writing sessions to finish it!’ Lamb said in a recent email interview. “I originally brought this title to Erik and immediately knew this was going to be a special song. Erik then brought Jesse on to help us finish the song, which is exactly the extra creative mind that we needed to wrap the song up.”
Taylor Grace is a high school graduate, a songwriter, and the artist behind one of the most honest and prolific tracks released so far in 2018. The catch is — she’s only 16. I had the chance to chat with Taylor about that song, “Far From Perfect,” her life, and her goals for the next couple years.
Turn on the radio, and you won't hear the best of country music. This is becoming a known fact, and although some great talents are on the radio, a lot of the biggest talents in country music come from places one wouldn't necessarily think to look. In order to find those extremely talented young artists, sometimes one has to turn to mediums other than radio, by looking at Soundcloud or Youtube or other music sharing websites. Elly Cooke is an eighteen-year-old singer and songwriter, fresh out of high school. She posted her first video on YouTube a year ago, but she has one of the strongest female voices in the country music industry today.
