Besides the limits this EP might have in the ages of the audience, the album is very good. Her vocals are incredibly mature for her age, and one can only imagine the power and depth her voice will have in a couple of years. The production takes the listener back in time, but in the best way possible. There are times where more traditional sounding country sounds like a copy of a song from thirty or forty years ago, but this EP isn't a copy. It's very influenced and reminiscent of older country music, but there's a little edge and sass there that James adds, on her own. Starting so traditional so young gives James so many options as to how she wants to develop her music in the future. Young talent that's a so devoted to country music will be so good for the industry in the future and I'm so excited to see what Bailey James does over the course of her hopefully long career.
