Humility runs through this song like a vein. McBryde doesn't use her success to show off to the people who never thought she would be able to succeed, but she just appreciates what she has. It's not a competition for her. She's not pointing out where the people who tried to bring her down are in comparison to her. There are no witty lines about them working at Walmart and her making music and being on the radio. It's just straight gratitude. The chorus is simply written, but it is full of amazement and surprise that she is where she is today. She focuses on what she has, and how hard she worked to get there without bringing the people who didn't believe her down. It's beautiful.
If you have a spare couple minutes today, listen to this. If you don't have time, make time. There aren't that many songs that come around like this one.
